Technical Expert – Analogue Electronics
Do you want to be the go-to Electronics Engineer in the organisation? Influencing designs and gathering requirements for new products in the business? Leading innovation and creativity and mentoring Junior Engineers?
We are working with a globally renowned and very successful technology company based outside of Cambridge who need to find a Technical Expert in Analogue Electronics to help them mentor staff across the business.
The team has grown a lot recently and there has been some restricting which has left a gap for this person to step into.
The company in question design bespoke electronics for various applications. This means you could be working on products going into a range of industries and could therefore come from a range of industries yourself.
You will lead in the delivery technical projects, either as the overall technical authority (technical lead) or as the Electronics Lead.
Responsibilities
• Hands on Electronics design – designing circuits, designing PCBs, testing prototypes etc.
• Technical leadership of project delivery.
• Supporting Business development in finding and developing new product opportunities.
Requirements
• Excellent academic record.
• Expert in a broad range of electronic design (particularly analogue electronics) with considerable practical design and development experience.
• Experience of presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of interacting with potential and existing clients and earning their confidence and trust.
• Desire to mentor and develop junior engineers to enable the sharing of ideas and innovation in the team.
The following would be an advantage:
• Hands on knowledge of RF Electronics
• Analogue Electronics expertise
• Experience of Power Electronics, including power supply design and motor control
• Multidisciplinary systems engineering skills
• Established profile in industry as a knowledgeable and experienced Electronics Engineer.
• Design for manufacture, test, cost and reliability
• Hobby with a technical or commercial relevance
