A leading engineering company at the forefront in the UK defence and security market. My client are therefore looking to add to their team which will be based in the South of England in the Isle of Wight

Key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer job:

• • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
  • Lead problem solving sessions with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation.
  • Document and investigate issues in a responsive manner.
  • Plan and monitor corrective actions to ensure deployment in a controlled, traceable approach.
  • Drive the development and implementation of preventative action

• • Proven experience in a role with quality-based responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of technical data such as engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Understanding of principles and tools such as process mapping, statistical quality control, pareto, lean manufacturing, kaizen, 8D reporting.
  • Familiarity with the ISO9001:2015 standard.
  • Experience in the manufacture of electromechanical assemblies.
