Senior Electrical Design Engineer (high voltage power supplies)
New Jersey, East Coast US
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design of a wide range of AC-DC switch-mode power supplies used within Industrial, Healthcare and Technology applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design
- Work in an R&D team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers and technicians on product design.
- Provide technical expertise in new product design and modification of existing products.
- Responsible for the specification compliance of designs
- Responsible for component part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost
- Provide input to continuous improvement to the Production technique.
- Ensure consistency in design reviews, verification and qualification efforts.
- Foster creativity and innovation in design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering/Power Electronics or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years’ experience in AC-DC switch-mode power supply design from conception to production
- Experience of wide range of topologies, including LLC.
- Deep knowledge of EMC, thermals, magnetic design, analogue and some digital design
