NEW Mechanical Design Engineer job available in South Cambridgeshire!

An established technology company in South Cambridgeshire are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team working on the development of new devices for the Life Sciences industry.

If you like to see a project through from beginning to end and enjoy being involved in hands on development, prototype build and testing of devices you have designed, this could be the job for you!

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer job:

· Design from concept stage and take through development to manufacture

· Find appropriate suppliers of bespoke components and source prototype parts

· Assembly and testing of prototype devices

Key skills / experience required for the Mechanical Design Engineer job:

· Experience with a 3D CAD package for design (SolidWorks is used)

· Proven experience of complex product development

· Any experience of optics, pneumatics or fluidics would be very beneficial
