Job Description

We are currently searching for an FPGA Design Engineer (SDR Communications) to join a leading organisation who design and manufacture critical communications equipment for the Defence and Security sectors. With over 15 years in the industry this company now operate globally, with offices in the UK and US. All R&D is done on-site in Fareham, Hampshire. 

The role of the FPGA Design Engineer (SDR Communications) is to design and develop Software Defined Radio products. You will use VHDL for FPGA design whilst also working closely with RF and DSP development. 

Skills and job requirements: 

  • Strong skills in FPGA development (design and verification) using VHDL. 
  • Previous exposure to software defined radio (SDR).
  • All applicants must be British nationals to obtain security clearance for defence work.
  • Advantageous (but not essential) experience includes: DSP algorithm development, C / C++ Software development experience, Python scripting, or electronic circuit design.
