My client has pioneered the design of innovative electronics systems and controls for various high-end applications for almost 40 years.
Operating from a state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility in Surrey, UK and with sales and service centres in the USA, China & Germany and with a worldwide network of distributors.
They currently require an experienced Software Engineer to join their Engineering team in Surrey. You will have responsibility for electronic design of analogue circuitry and interfaces, seeing projects from ‘cradle to grave’.
Key Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:
- Write and update software specifications to meet market requirements.
- As part of a team, develop application level software
- Maintain version control systems and issue trackers relating to project software.
- Participate in design reviews of software, providing input into design requirements & functional specifications.
- Assist with the transition of software from Engineering into Production.
Key Requirements of the Software Engineer:
- At least some experience with C# or C++ languages
- Familiarity with C++ in embedded systems
- Familiarity with embedded Real-time Operating Systems
- Able to read electronic schematics and understand the relevant software interfaces.
- Would be desirable to have experience with CANbus or other protocols like RS232 or RS422
