NEW DIGITAL FPGA DESIGN ENGINEER (NETWORK PROTOCOLS) JOB AVAILABLE IN WATFORD, HERTFORDSHIRE
A very successful R&D company, with over 35 years’ experience, has made the exciting decision to set up a brand-new division with a focus on ‘digital intermediate frequency’ communication and distribution products. They are now looking for 3 talented engineers to join this team in Watford, Hertfordshire (West London).
As part of this new venture we require a Digital FPGA Design Engineer – Network Protocols to join the team in Watford. You will be responsible for designing and developing a range of modules and equipment for digital IF (intermediate frequency), producing VHDL code for SDR transport protocols (such as VITA-49).
Digital FPGA Design Engineer – Job requirements:
- A strong technical background in FPGA design using VHDL.
- Experience with SDR protocols, such as VITA49.
- Experience in FPGA implementation of communications stacks (TCP/IP).
- Competent in design, synthesis, implementation, and test.
- Experience with digital RF technology would be very beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with DSP Algorithm simulation would be beneficial but not essential.
This is an incredibly rare opportunity for someone who has skills in Digital FPGA Design Engineering to be part of a brand-new team. You will be involved in designing innovative communication products from scratch, through to manufacture.
