TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER – R&D JOB AVAILABLE IN LIVINGSTON, SCOTLAND
A successful technology business working on the development of subsea monitoring systems are seeking a Project Manager to join their R&D team in Livingston, Scotland.
The Technical Project Manager – R&D will be managing development projects that are taking the building blocks for Subsea Internet of Things and enabling smart devices to extend their wireless IoT networks through water and ground, providing low cost alternatives to cables and connectors.
Applicants must have experience of working in a product development environment and taking projects from development into manufacturing.
Key responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager – R&D job:
- Assist in the definition of projects, objectives and system architecture ranging from small projects to large customer programmes
- Liaise with the Engineering and R&D managers and teams to appropriately resource the project internally and coordinate third parties / subcontractors
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules and monitor progress
- Work closely with R&D team (systems, software, electronic and mechanical engineers) on project tasks
- Report progress regularly with client meetings
Key skills / experience required for the Technical Project Manager – R&D job:
- Proven experience of working in a product development environment with electronic, software and mechanical requirements
- Experience of taking projects from development through to production
- A project management qualification such as PMP, Prince2, Scrum or Agile
- Any knowledge of subsea applications would be highly beneficial
