Octagon Group are working in partnership with a market-leading engineering company in Redhill, Surrey which designs and develops complex scientific instruments which serve a host of industries both in the UK and internationally. As a Technical Sales Engineer – Scientific, you will utilise your expertise within Sales/Marketing to provide customers with products and services which meet their individual needs. We are looking for candidates with an academic background in a Scientific or highly technical field, working from the company’s brand-new offices in Redhill, Surrey.

As part of a talented sales team you will play a crucial role in identifying new target markets for the business and helping the company as they continue to expand.

Requirements for the Technical Sales Engineer – Scientific position:

  • A degree level education in a Scientific, Mathematical or highly technical subject
  • Some professional exposure to working in a technical sales or marketing environment required
  • Availability for occasional international travel
  • A ‘people person’ personality, the ability to confidently engage with customers at B2B level
  • Exposure to a CRM or other sales management platforms also advantageous
