CAD Designer / Draughtsperson – Dorset
A leading mechanical / structural engineering design organisation based in Poole, Dorset, are seeking an experienced CAD Designer / Draughtsperson to join their Poole facilities. Our Client has an incredible history of building, designing and developing multi-million-pound complex structures, barriers, bridges and crane systems across the globe. Due to high volume of new projects, they are now looking for a CAD Designer/Draughtsperson to join their R&D Engineering team in Poole, Dorset. As CAD Designer/Draughtsperson you will produce 3D arrangements and assemblies and creating 2D drawings from models to exact specification and a high degree of accuracy.
Skills/experience required for CAD Designer/Draughtsperson:
- Experience in producing 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor ( preferably) or other 3D CAD package
- Experienced using Vault or similar data management software
- Good knowledge of mechanical principals, materials, fabrications, and machining methods
- Good understanding/ knowledge of structural engineering
- Very good and clear communication skills as you will need to communicate with team and external partners on regular basis
