A leading-edge developer and manufacturer of thermal imaging systems in Cambridge are looking for a capable Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join their research and development team.
This company has been called on to develop and deliver thermal thermal imaging cameras for Formula 1, IndyCar racing, the USA Aegis Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense Programme, and ground-breaking wildlife documentaries.
As a Senior FPGA Design Engineer you will be expected to use Verilog to design FPGA’s and CPLD’s. You will work on a range of FPGA chips including Xilinx, Altera, Lattice and Actel.
Skills / Job requirements:
- To have a strong background in FPGA design using Verilog (VHDL will also be considered).
- Full product life-cycle experience (concept through to manufacture).
- Some experience with CPLD’s will be required.
- Additional exposure to imaging technologies, SoC, DSPs, or optoelectronics would be beneficial but not essential.
