NEW CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN JOB IN SOUTHAMPTON.

A market leading organisation based in Southampton are looking for a Calibration Technician to join a dynamic team in testing and repair a range of existing products and new developments.

Responsibilities for a Calibration Technician in Southampton:

• Ability to solder to IPC 610 standards; qualification or experience in this area is essential. Demonstrate intricate soldering skills and attention to detail.
• Perform mechanical or electrical repairs to equipment as assigned by the Workshop Coordinator or Operations Manager.
• Apply applicable labels on equipment, showing the date of calibration or repair and the next due date.
• Pass/scan calibration results to the calibration coordinator for certificate creation.

Key skills needed/required for a Calibration Technician in Southampton:

• Relevant industry experience in PCB Assembly and Soldering; IPC 610 soldering qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to follow build instructions and understand wiring diagrams.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to report job statuses to the Operations Manager and interact with workshop/office staff.
