The role:
Octagon Group are working with a multinational engineering organisation which designs a range of industry leading vacuum solutions. They are now seeking a Software Architect – Embedded Linux to take a hands-on approach to C/C++ development on embedded systems and play a key role in the architectural development of these systems. You’ll be working on a hybrid basis from the company site in Eastbourne, West Sussex.
Requirements for the Software Architect – Embedded Linux role:
- Degree level education in a Computer Science, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Extensive professional experience in embedded C and C++ programming
- Expert knowledge of Embedded Linux and RTOS systems, including kernel level programming
- Strong understanding of Architectural design and development
- Experience with Yocto, Zephyr or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate key decisions to senior stakeholders of technical and non-technical backgrounds
