A global supplier and market leader in safety and control systems are looking for an Engineering Manager – Electronics to join their team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The Engineering Manager – Electronics will be a key hire for the business and will have a varied role including some hands-on electronics design when required, team and project management and overseeing production.
Key responsibilities of the Engineering Manager – Electronics job:
- Manage the engineering function and the delivery of projects, products and services
- Lead R&D and product development
- Manage engineering systems and processes, including HSQE systems
- Resolve any engineering issues as and when they arise
- Involvement in technical sales and general company management may be required
Key skills / experience required for the Engineering Manager – Electronics job:
- Proven experience in electronics design engineering and in working with embedded electronics hardware and software.
- Management and leadership experience
- Experience working with field bus technologies such as Lonworks, 485, Ethernet or similar would be highly advantageous. Experience with mechanical hardware, actuators and sensors would also be desirable, as would electrical engineering and EMC experience
- Technically creative with exceptional fault-finding and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, staff management and organisational skills
- Experience in the Automotive Aerospace or Rail industries would be beneficial but not essential
The role will include some travel throughout the UK and the occasional overseas visit.
