Assembly Technician Position Available in Enfield, North London!

Job Scope
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to manufacture high-complexity electromechanical products, part of our marine radar navigation range at the site in Enfield, North London. This role involves the assembly, rework, and testing of electromechanical radar equipment, primarily for maritime applications, and the development of manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Technician:
- Assemble, test, and rework electromechanical equipment to high-quality standards.
- Work from detailed procedures, drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, and instructions.
- Perform soldering, unsoldering, wiring, crimping, drilling, filing, cutting, and detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies.
- Apply mastic and adhesives using various tools and equipment.
- Inspect own work and that of others, troubleshooting proactively.
- Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Raise defect reports and manage data via the company’s business data management system.
- Maintain a conscientious, proactive approach with attention to detail.
- Foster a team environment while implementing continuous improvements.
- Maintain orderliness of facilities, materials, and work areas, adhering to 5S standards.
- Comply with all ethics, health, safety, compliance, and quality requirements.
- Perform additional tasks to support the operations team.
Requirements for the Assembly Technician:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Proactive, with strong team skills and attention to detail.
- PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience in a cellular manufacturing environment and radar knowledge are advantageous.
