An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Configuration Controller to join a leading provider of maritime navigation and surveillance radar systems. This role will suit someone with a technical background, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

You’ll be responsible for the release and change control of technical data within the company’s ERP system and for maintaining configuration management processes across engineering and manufacturing.Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure controlled, accurate data management while supporting continuous improvement and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer release and change control for engineering data, including BOMs, drawings, software, and documentation.

• Manage the change and deviation request process from start to finish.

• Develop and maintain configuration management procedures and provide guidance to colleagues.

• Create and manage ERP data such as approval templates and document numbering.

• Support ERP system improvements, testing, and upgrades.

• Produce configuration plans for new projects and bids.

• Support QMS and audit activities and maintain relevant certification documentation.

Essential:

• Experience in configuration management or control, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or defence.

• Knowledge of ERP systems (IFS Cloud, SAP, or similar).

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
