Reporting directly to the Sustainment Manager, the Continuous Improvement Lead will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Continuous Improvement (CI) programme at the Newport, Isle of Wight site. This position plays a key role in enhancing efficiency, driving lean initiatives, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement throughout operations in Newport, Isle of Wight.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading the development and execution of CI strategies tailored to the specific needs of the Newport, Isle of Wight location.

• Ensuring consistent application of CI methodologies such as 5S, DMAIC, PDCA, and VSM across site operations.

• Acting as a CI champion within the Newport, Isle of Wight team, mentoring staff and supporting knowledge sharing.

• Identifying, planning, and delivering improvement projects that enhance performance and reduce waste in Newport, Isle of Wight.

• Collaborating with local site management to support growth, innovation, and best practice within the Newport, Isle of Wight facility.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong track record in leading successful CI projects, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering setting.

• In-depth knowledge of lean tools and methodologies.

• Ability to influence, motivate, and engage teams across all levels within the Newport, Isle of Wight site.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualification; experience working within a CI-focused global organisation.
