Job Title: Contract Product Support Engineer
Type: 12-Month Contract
Status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE)
Rate: £300–£350 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Surrey – Onsite initially, with flexibility for hybrid working thereafter
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Product Support Engineer in Surrey to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team working on new product development across Healthcare and Industrial IoT solutions.
This position focuses on testing, validation and technical support for innovative connected products being rolled out across global markets
The Role
As a Contract Product Support Engineer in Surrey, you’ll play a key part in supporting both current and next-generation product development, taking designs from feasibility through to testing and global product launch.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing technical support for digital solutions and IoT platforms used across multiple countries

Supporting the design, test, and validation of new digital and connected products

Assisting with global product launches and technical documentation

Designing and executing test plans in the in-house development lab

Tracking and resolving technical issues in line with formal change control procedures
You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads, collaborating across international teams to deliver best-in-class technical outcomes.
Skills & Experience

Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Systems or similar

2–5 years’ experience within a product development or technical R&D environment

Hands-on understanding of wireless technology, IoT systems, and digital platforms

Practical experience with fault-finding, debugging and test execution

Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics

Strong analytical mindset and structured documentation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident collaborating across different cultures and disciplines
