Contract Project Engineer – Oil & Gas
Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
£35 – £40 per hour
6 months with possible extensions
We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Engineer, preferably with a history of working on multiple, multi-million-pound bespoke engineering packages for the oil and gas industry in the UK. This Contract Project Engineer – Oil & Gas position is based in Cambridge, with a view to start working remotely until it is possible to be office based.
You will be responsible for managing the engineering requirements to enable the successful completion of the project. You will provide control of and report on, the engineering deliverables on the project and will ensure that the technical content of documentation meets the requirements to allow engineering and manufacturing to be completed to satisfy the client’s expectations. You will also get involved in the ‘hands-on’ element of project engineering, assisting the mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrument engineers to carry out designs to specification.
Contract Project Engineer – Oil & Gas job requirements:
- Previous experience with Project Engineering or Project Management within the oil and gas sector is essential.
- Ability to manage engineering packages involving large pressure vessels, pipework, structural steel, valves, and specialised hazardous area rated equipment such as pressure, temperature, level and flow instruments, connected to a control system, etc.
- Strong communication, negotiation, technical and organisational skills will be essential to the Project Engineer’s success.
