Head of Global Logistics – Singapore

Head of Global Logistics responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of global operations logistics activities, including partnering with global spares operations to define the overall logistics strategy for the company, including warehouse operations in-source / outsource decisions, operations consolidation through 3PL outsourcing where appropriate, overall freight network service levels and costs, and annual targets for cost savings while sustaining and improving on 3PL capabilities and service levels throughout the entire logistics network.
• Responsible for managing on site 3PL outsourced warehouse logistics operations for capital semiconductor equipment manufacturing to include managing and updating 3PL service level agreements, ensuring warehouse operations service levels and KPI’s are established and met, driving Safety / RBIA compliance, ensuring 3PL quality management systems are in place and effective, and incorporating voice of the customer feedback into continuous improvement programs.
• Responsible for inventory integrity and overall inventory and storage optimisation, to include on both site and offsite warehouse locations, and local transportation networks between logistics locations. • Responsible for understanding and characterising the global operations and global spares bulk air and parcel air transportation network from a spend, volume, and service level perspective. Retains primary responsibility for the company’s bulk / heavyweight air and cross border / local transportation networks, from creating the overall freight services agreement, making award decisions to carriers / freight forwarders, and sustaining the overall network from a cost, capability, and service level perspective. Partners with global spares to align on company strategies for the company’s parcel air network, and implement changes to that network.
• Manage company’s global trade team on key trade management programs.
• Drives key commercial activities as the primary logistics commodity manager for global operations, including requests for proposal, request for quotes, commercial negotiations, with assistance from the indirect purchasing team, and final awards to 3PL’s for warehouse and freight operations.
• Responsible for the logistics tasks associated with the company’s crate reuse program – defines and monitors the process steps for reusable crate shipments to customers and crate return to point of use in coordination with field service teams, global trade, transportation providers, and outsource packaging operations teams.
• Responsible for defining and incorporating quality management systems and continuous improvement programs into all logistics operations, in-sourced and outsourced.
• Drive collaboration between Global Operations and Global Spares on existing technology road maps, including improvements
Requirement
• At least 10 years of logistics experience in comparable industries.
• Strong knowledge of SAP transaction operations and warehouse management systems.
• Experience managing 3PL warehouse operations and transportation networks.
• Understanding of import, export requirements and general trade terms.
• Global experience in managing freight (inbound / outbound) and warehouse operations will be advantageous
