TITLE: Production Operative – Box Build CEM & Test
POST HOLDER: Cameron Turner
REPORTING TO: Box Build Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Working to build instructions and training to complete electronic production assemblies primarily for CEM customers ensuring test and batch traceability documentation is completed to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to build customer specified products to a high standard, assisting with own brand when required.
- Producing cable harnesses to the wiring instructions
- Full function testing and fault finding on all Box Build products OEM and CEM
- Complete all production paperwork accurately and on time
- Provide hands on job function training to co-workers as needed
- To participate in consultations with Sales, Customers and Operations where necessary
- On time delivery with materials and time as per budget
- Comminate in a polite and profession manner with customers, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly
Metrics
- Self-sufficient on workload, checking kitting and communicating shortages and possible delays to production with the relevant department or customer where required
- Ensure route cards are completed accurately
- Build in accordance with IPC standards and customer specification
- Complete all production activities accurately and within the defined timescales
- Actual v Budget review, this is required times to build to actual with hope of improvement to these
- Suggest improvement initiatives supported to eliminate inefficiencies and rework. (Aim is to achieve zero defects)
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to the appropriate manager
- Assist with testing in other departments as requirement by business demands
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous electromechanical experience required
- Familiarity with personal computers and multi meters
- Soldering experience preferably to IPC standards
- Previous manufacturing experience

- Good communication skills with staff and customers in a polite and professional manner
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
