Electrical and Instrument Engineer – Oil & Gas job available in Ely, Cambridgeshire
A globally established engineering organisation based in Ely, Cambridgeshire are seeking a bright Electrical and Instrument Engineer to join their expanding engineering & systems team. You will be part of an organisation with over 30 years in the industry. They will continuously provide external training.
Job details: You will be responsible for assisting with the engineering development and selection of Oil & Gas instrumentation. This will include pressure, temperature, level & flow equipment, control valves, etc. Your role will involve a mix of instrument engineering and electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical.
Skills / Experience Requirements:
- Experience with requirements for instrument design – reviewing customer specifications, design processes, and instrumentation process.
- Ability to check ‘in-house’ drawings and documents relating to instruments.
- Purchasing experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- An understanding of hazardous area design (ATEX, NEX, or IEC) would be beneficial, external training will be provided in these areas if necessary.
