My client are one of the small handful of companies who have actually seen an increase in orders due to the COVID pandemic, so they are continuing to expand so they keep up with the demand for their products.
They were already growing. They have seen a +20% increase in revenue and headcount every year for the past 5 years which meant that last year their turnover was just shy of $500 million. With the dramatic increase in orders this year, this is likely to be much higher come 2021.
As a Electrical Design Engineer – Power, you must be competent in electronic test, failure and root cause analysis, and re-development for electronics and power supplies. You will work in the company’s engineering and manufacturing facilities, in Singapore, and take responsibility for re-developing products, failure analysis and repair processes, root cause investigation, and customer reports for low-power analogue products and power supplies.
Key Skills & Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer – Power:
• Understand customer requirement to design or modify product to provide Added Value (AV) Solution
• Electrical circuit and schematic design
• Breadboard and prototype samples making and debugging
• Design new solution/product within the companies standard design practice, safety guidelines, agreed timescales and costs.
• Performed product (AV and modified model) verification and validation, such as electrical performance, thermal, EMC and DVT evaluations, to ensure product meet specification before delivered to customer.
Knowledge/Qualifications/Attributes of the Electrical Design Engineer – Power:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic or higher degree in a related engineering field.
• Some electrical design experience of power supply
• Familiarity with PCB design using Altium/PADS will be an added advantage.
