Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)? Sonomatic, a leading NDT company, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Electro-Mechanical Technicians to join our innovative teams based in both Warrington and Aberdeen. In this unique role, you will be at the forefront of, assembling and integrating advanced automated inspection solutions, playing a crucial part in projects that span the globe. Key Responsibilities:
• Project Delivery: The role is primarily office based however we envisage offshore support varying from 10%-50% of your time depending on project demands. When delivering projects from the office you will take ownership of all aspects of project delivery, from assembling and testing equipment, to ordering, packing, and shipping to project sites.
• Field Support Role: Once experienced with Sonomatic inspection equipment, the role will evolve to include working alongside inspection technicians offshore. You will actively participate in setting up jobs, deploying equipment offshore, and providing crucial on-site support.
• On-Site Support: Act as a support technician during both topside and subsea jobs, ensuring seamless integration and operation of Sonomatic’s equipment.
• ROV Integration: Onsite integrations to establish LAN communication between ROV’s and Sonomatic tools. • Fault Finding and Repair: Utilize your expertise to identify and rectify equipment issues, conducting repairs and re-
commissioning to maintain optimal functionality. • Engineering administration: Manage essential engineering administrative tasks, including the preparation of risk
assessments, overseeing purchasing processes, and the compilation of manifests and checklists. Qualifications & Experience:
• Time Served (Level 3 Qualification): Possess a Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Robotics.
• Hands on Experience: Demonstrate proven experience in assembling, testing, and integrating automated inspection solutions.
• Troubleshooting Proficiency: Showcase strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of effectively identifying and resolving equipment issues.
• IT Knowledge: Preferably, have knowledge and experience in LAN set up. • Engineering Health & Safety: Have knowledge & experience with engineering health and safety procedures e.g., risk
assessments, pre use checks & permits to work. What we offer:
