A market leading organisation based in Livingston, West Lothian are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a team developing electronics with a particular focus on ATEX/ IEC-Ex certified product development. Their products are used in markets ranging from Smart Metering, Oil & Gas, to Life Sciences and Medical.
The Electronics Design Engineer will be involved with working on a broad range of technical projects where initial ideas are developed into real products in short timescales.
Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer job:
- Schematic capture, PCB design, analogue and digital system design
- Microcontroller system design
- Investigate, develop and utilise new technologies, components and techniques, processes and tools
- Use analogue and digital electronics skills to design, build and test complex electronics modules
Key skills/experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer job:
- Proven experience developing electronic systems
- Analogue and digital system design experience
- Power supply design, high-speed design and wireless/RF experience would be an advantage
