We are growing and have a brand new and exciting opportunity for an Electronics Design & Verification Engineer to join our growing, dynamic R&D team.   

The role

As Electronics Design & Verification Engineer you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver on electronics and electronical design for our highly innovative products.

Key duties:

  • Component selection and Altium library/Electronics Parts Master maintenance.
  • PCB Layout and collaborate with in-house and/or external PCB Layout Engineers to produce technically viable, cost-effective, manufacturable, and testable implementations.
  • Produce Design Verification Plans to address sub-assembly requirements.
  • Formal Design Verification Testing of electronic sub-assemblies (lab and theoretical).
  • Membership of Technical Peer Review panels for electronics sub-assemblies.
  • Review sub-assembly documentation such as design packages and Technical Descriptions.
  • R&D test fixture design including Pi/Arduino-based or LabView programming.
  • Sustaining work to support and maintain production of Blatchford PCBAs.
  • Failure investigations.
  • Design and document electronics production test fixtures as required.
  • Maintain and develop in-house pre-compliance EMC/ESD facilities and equipment.

What are we looking for?

Key skills

  • Self-starting team player, with a positive attitude and an enquiring receptive mind.
  • Able to inform and enthuse others about new concepts.
  • 2+ years’ “hand-on” experience of Electronics testing
  • 2+ coding for test equipment and test infrastructure
  • Experience of wireless communications technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, etc) would be an advantage.
