New Electronics Design Engineer job in Welshpool, Wales
The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for designing electronics solutions and the job will involve all aspects of a product life cycle; design, implementation, testing and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer job:
- Design interfaces to instrumentation and sensors for data capture and processing
- Design DC power supplies and power distribution for embedded electronics
- The implementation of designs in HDL for PLDs (ideally VHDL for FPGA’s)
- Implement communications interfaces such as CAN, USB and Ethernet in firmware and hardware
- Knowledge of embedded system design
- Work closely with systems, software, mechanical and electrical engineers
Key skills/experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer job:
- Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and hold / be eligible to obtain a UK passport
- Experience with component selection, schematic capture, analogue design, digital design and PCB layout
- Knowledge of communications interfaces (e.g. CAN, USB and Ethernet)
- Knowledge of embedded system design
- Previous experience of software tools such as Labcentre Proteus is desirable.
