Published Description:

PURPOSE OF ROLE

This role will be assisting the existing Nidec Harrogate and China teams to take the 100kW traction inverter project from the current hardware sampling stage to launch of full production.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and support validation testing
• Participate in inverter DFMEA
• Preparation of PPAP documentation
• Support Chinese production facility (KDS) with design, test and manufacturing issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronics
• Experience of 10kW+ motor drives, ideally vehicle traction applications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design and manufacturing environment
• Experience of validation testing
• Experience of PPAP, DFMEA
• Experience of design and debugging of control and HV power electronic circuitry
• Familiarity of motor dynamometer testing and relevant instrumentation

Desirable:

• Experience of electronics schematic capture (ideally Altium)
