As an Engineering Manager – R&D you will be part of one of the world's leading research and design companies based in Livingston near Scotland’s famous capital city Edinburgh, managing a department of highly skilled design engineers.
The Engineering Manager – R&D will be managing a design team (which could include Mechanical Design Engineers, Hardware Designers, Software Engineers, Firmware Engineers) working on a broad range of projects for clients across the globe.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager – R&D job:
- Manage the tasks and technology of an engineering team, allocating work efficiently and ensuring designs are high quality
- Support your teams personal development to build on their technical skills
- Ensure the customers requirements are always met in the face of difficult design challenges
Key skills / experience required for the Engineering Manager – R&D job:
- A strong product development background and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Proven experience of managing complex design projects
