FPGA DESIGN ENGINEER – VHDL JOB IN HUNTINGDON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE!

A leading design and manufacturer of test and measurement instrumentation are looking for a FPGA Design Engineer – VHDL to join their R&D site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The position will be a mix of firmware and hardware development.

Key responsibilities of the FPGA Design Engineer – VHDL job:

• Lead the digital design team in developing complex test and measurement products
• Specify and design future products whilst supervising more junior engineers
• Ensure all design regulations, budgets and project timelines are adhered to
• Support and enhance existing designs

Skills / experience required for the FPGA Design Engineer – VHDL job:

• Experience in digital hardware FPGA design and verification
• A solid understanding of the design process and tools used, e.g. Matlab
• Good knowledge of high-speed FPGA design using VHDL for Digital Signal Processing designs including DDR, RAM and communication protocols etc
• Knowledge of C programming, schematic design and PCB design would be beneficial
