Head of Global Demand Planning – Singapore
My client is a global technology issue who have continually exceeded its customers' expectations for over 50 years of operation. They are continually growing and have a number of new offices springing up across the globe.
Their Head Office in Singapore is the central hub for all activity in Asia. They are looking to hire a new Head of Global Demand Planning.
Job Description
The primary focus is on driving the long term, volume forecasting aspects of their S&OP process, ensuring stock availability to deliver high Customer Service levels in the short term. Key responsibilities include:
• Demand & forecast planning, with the aim to provide a robust, statistically generated process moving forward.
• Provide stock management & availability processes
• Lead the S&OP meeting
• Provide a realistic rolling 7-24 months volume forecast to support the S&OP process
• Obsolete management (avoidance); identify obsolete risks, initiate and follow through required actions to avoid obsoletes
The Successful Applicant
They are seeking specialist Demand Planners who have experience working with large Tech businesses. Skills & Qualifications include;
• 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Roles with minimum 3 year of experience in Demand Planning and S&OP/SIOP/IBP process facilitation (including working knowledge of SAP APO).
• Strong analytical skills: must feel comfortable working with several sources of data and information to identify relevant insights. Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
• Strong personal computer skills required, proficiency in the use of excel, including advanced spreadsheet tools.
• Desirable but not mandatory: mathematical/statistical knowledge, demonstrated capability in modelling, analysis and simulations tools.
• Strong leadership & communication skills
• Demonstrated success in process and/or tools improvements initiatives. Continuous improvement mindset.
