Published Description:

A rapidly expanding research and development organisation that design and manufacture highly complex and innovative hardware systems for the satellite communication industry are seeking an IC / Semiconductor Programme Manager to join their business in Reading, Berkshire.

Key responsibilities of the IC / Semiconductor Programme Manager job:

• Work closely with the team to coordinate the development flow of multiple highly complex integrated circuit (IC) design projects from specification to production.
• Plan, schedule and manage multiple projects, working with functional heads, customers and suppliers to deliver results that ensure timely and predictable delivery of projects.
• Facilitating cross functional IC project status and development meeting that includes external and internal design team members.
• Anticipate challenges, lead cross-functional efforts to mitigate risk, develop contingency plans, or adjust project scope, resources, or timelines as needed.
• Manage project scope and deliverables through a structured change management process to ensure Customer expectations are met whilst protecting corporate objectives.
• There will potentially be some travel required within this role

Key skills / experience required for the IC / Semiconductor Programme Manager job:

• A background in successful execution of complex IC projects thorough planning, prioritisation, risk mitigation, status reporting and good Project Management practice.
• Substantial experience in the semiconductor industry (preferably design or high-volume manufacturing) with in-depth commercial experience in Integrated Circuit product development program/project management, operations program management or design engineering management.
• Knowledge and exposure in the areas of IC development, packaging, reliability, fabrication, Product Test Development, and Sustaining IC Management.
• Ability to drive external partners to deliver project to schedule ensuring all tasks, outputs and deliverable are aligned to expectations
• Ability to track and ensure external partners stick to agreed project budgets
