A growing Life Sciences company in Cambridge developing revolutionary engineering solutions for use in complex scientific equipment are looking for an Intellectual Property (IP) Manager to join their team. This person will play a key role in the development and maintenance of Intellectual Property and related matters.
Key responsibilities of the IP Manager job:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the IP portfolio
- Review patents and assist in IP landscaping
- Help to create and regularly update Free-to-Operate (FTO) reports by monitoring new patent filing, patent grant and expiry
- Review Record-of-Inventions (ROIs) and assist in novelty and patentability assessment
- Interact effectively with the R&D team, Business Development and external Legal and Patent Attorney firms.
Key skills / experience required for the IP Manager job:
- Proven experience in a similar Patent/Intellectual Property Manager position
- The ability to work within a set timeline and deliver tasks on time in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
