The client I am working with are pushing the boundaries within Power Electronics, due to continuous growth they are expanding their IT team and searching for a IT Systems Engineer to join their headquarters in Barnstaple, Devon.

We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer with prior experience of working in a busy IT Department. The successful applicant will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team to deliver support to UK employees on a variety of issues.

What are they looking for?

They have a well established IT team and this role will be working specifically within their European flagship design centre in Barnstaple.  This site is looking for an IT Systems Engineer with experience in dealing with a wide range of IT queries and has a hands on approach. 

The successful candidate will have experience in the following-

• Supporting servers, desktops, network and voice equipment
• Using helpdesk software to support employees
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems
• Maintaining existing equipment by installing and upgrading hardware/software
• Ensuring the security of company systems
• Ensuring software is correctly licensed

Skills Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience of:

•   Microsoft Active Directory

•   VMware ESX 6.x / 7.x

•   Microsoft Windows (Desktop and Server)

•   Networking (Switches, VLAN, Wireless etc)

•   Backup Software.
