IT Tools Support Engineer – Linux job available in Edinburgh, Scotland
One of the world’s biggest research and development companies are seeking a capable IT Tools Support Engineer – Linux to join their growing team based in Edinburgh, Scotland to provide support for electronics tools and their infrastructure.
They create cutting edge technology for Aerospace and Defence applications in their state of the art, fully equipped facility in the heart of Edinburgh and the primary focus of this role will be to provide support for the Linux servers and Firmware, Hardware and PCB Design tools.
Key skills / experience required for the IT Tools Support Engineer – Linux job:
- Linux operating system admin knowledge
- Installing and configuring engineering applications
- Providing server and tool support to engineers
Experience with one or more of the following:
- FPGA Vendor tools
- Mentor Firmware tools
- Mentor Xpedition Enterprise tool suite for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Mentor Hyperlynx Signal or Power Integrity tools
Please note: All candidates must be a British Citizen and be able to gain security clearance.
