A market leading organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire are looking to add a Junior Software Test Engineer to join their growing R&D team.
The Junior Software Test Engineer will provide support to the wider software team through the performance of manual testing, working closely with the automation engineers and wider test team. You will play an important role within the business, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and working closely with the support team to identify any issues that may arise. This is a hands-on role and an opportunity for you to be part of a talented multidisciplinary team as you start your career within the field.
The main responsibilities for the Junior Software Test Engineer in Stevenage, Hertfordshire are:
- Writing test cases
- Performing manual testing of application software
- Working closely with Automation Testers and Product Developers to ensure best testing practice
- Assisting the technical support team to identify and resolve issues as they arise
Ideally the Junior Software Test Engineer will have:
- Degree level education in relevant engineering/IT discipline
- Previous experience in testing or debugging
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with networking protocols
- An understanding of PC Architecture or experience in building PCs.
