New Lead IT Cyber Security Engineer job based in Ipswich, Suffolk (Hybrid office / remote working)

Octagon Group are currently recruiting for a Lead IT Cyber Security Engineer based near Ipswich, Suffolk. This role is focused on cyber security strategy, risk and compliance. It will be your job to manage and protect IT security and the company CRM database, IT marketing related activities. The role is based in Ipswich, Suffolk with opportunity to work from home on average 2-3 days per week.

Skills / Experience required for this Lead IT Cyber Security Engineer job:

• Commercial experience in working with Cyber Security risk and compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIS Directive, Cyber Essential Plus, etc.).
• To possess a technical and academic background in IT.
• Ability to take responsibility for IT security activities, including governance, risk and compliance.
• Ability to facilitate client audits.
• Experience with cyber security strategy or continuous improvement for cyber standards would be beneficial but not essential.
