Logistics Co-ordinator Job – Wallingford (Berinsfield)

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join a busy and growing team based near Wallingford. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week with shift options of 7.00am to 15.30pm or 8.00am to 4.30pm (TBC). The Logistics Co-ordinator will report directly to the Logistics Manager and will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role of Logistics Co-ordinator in Wallingford is hands-on, requiring someone who is proactive, organised, and able to communicate well at all levels. The successful candidate should be physically fit as some heavy lifting may be required. Previous experience working with forklifts would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities for the  Logistics Co-ordinator Job:

• Receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damage.

• Notify relevant staff of shortages or damaged goods.

• Allocate stock to the correct locations and accurately record all stock movements.

• Unload vehicles and support kitting of materials to production in line with schedules.

• Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain strict control of stock.

• Follow FIFO processes and ensure correct rotation of materials.

• Load/unload trucks and support despatch operations as required.

• Cross train within the logistics team to cover multiple functions.

• Work in line with company Health and Safety procedures and policies.

About You:

• Previous experience in stockroom and despatch procedures, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

• Computer literate, with good communication skills.

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics.

• SAP knowledge is desirable.

• Forklift licence is beneficial (training available for suitable candidates).

• Physically fit and able to handle weights as per Health & Safety guidelines.
