NEW Manufacturing Engineer – Instrumentation job available in Thame, Oxfordshire.
A leading research and development company involved in the development of complex instrumentation are seeking a bright and ambitious Manufacturing Engineer –Instrumentation to join their growing engineering team in Thame, Oxfordshire. You will be the bridge between R&D and Production, ensuring electro-mechanical projects / products will meet the correct quality / manufacturing techniques to go through to manufacture.
Responsibilities include:
- Specifying correct manufacturing techniques per project.
- Assisting with machining and fabrication techniques.
- Lead quality assurance and quality control.
- Reviewing of engineering drawings and models to ensure efficient production.
- Assist with basic 2D / 3D CAD development, working closely with Mechanical Design Engineers.
Skills / Experience required:
- Ability to read, critique and provide improvements on 2D and 3D mechanical engineering drawings.
- A strong understanding of low volume manufacturing techniques within an R&D environment.
- Experience with machining.
- Exposure to lowvolume electro-mechanical instrumentation would be very beneficial.
- Experience with Mechanical design using SolidWorks or similar would be beneficial but not essential.
