Manufacturing Manager job available in Taunton, Somerset
A very exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading manufacturer of precision engineered and optical components. My client specialises in delivering bespoke components which are used in innovative laser steering applications.
As a Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for managing the improvement of product and project processes within a busy manufacturing facility. You will manager and support the business in implementing and improving new processes using a range of tools and methodologies including 5s, FMEA and six sigma.
Main Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Manager job:
- Manage a team dedicated to driving forward process improvement projects.
- Support both product development and assembly ensuring process changes comply with industry and product standards
- Lead Investigations for operational issues.
Skills / Experience required for this Manufacturing Manager job:
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager role
- Must have experience in leading/managing engineering teams
- Experience working in busy manufacturing facility (component manufacture would be ideal)
- Strong understanding in using production data to drive process improvements.
