We are looking to recruit a Materials Controller for Maternity cover to work with our supply chain team at our manufacturing site in Dartford.
Responsibilities
- Review and check e-mails and action as appropriate.
- Schedule Purchase orders to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Place purchase orders from purchase requests.
- Check internal reports, review backlogs and update and action accordingly.
- Confirm order acknowledgements.
- Review Supplier order books and advise and potential delays.
- Obtain quotes for products and services to support business requirements.
- Maintain targets including excess stock and reduction in stock.
Skills, Experience and Person Specification
- Full training will be given.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Competent user of Microsoft software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly numerate with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Problem solving, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently whilst being a team player.
Job Specifics
- Hours are either 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday
- This role would be available for 12-14 months
