A leading international mechanical and electro-mechanical system manufacturer and supplier is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team in Isle of Wight offices. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support development, integration and verification of new components, products and systems.
Skills required for Mechanical Design Engineer role, Isle of Wight:
- HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or similar engineering discipline) and a minimum of 3 years
relevant experience - Strong experience in 3D CAD modelling and drawing (Siemens NX user highly desirable, but others will be considered)
- Experience in sheet metal and machining
- Ideally experience in design of enclosures for electronics and knowledge of EMC
- Ideally experience in hardware product design, DFM and DFA
- Previous experience in designing for harsh environments highly desirable
- SC will be required for the role
