A very innovative R&D / Engineering organisation that design technology for the music industry are expanding their team in Chessington, Surrey. As part of this expansion we're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer – High Precision Electronics to join their very unique engineering team.
The Mechanical Design Engineer – High Precision Electronics will create 3D CAD designs using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. You will develop high precision, high finish, multi-component electro-mechanical enclosures for audio industry technology. You will working closely with the hardware engineers to ensure enclosures are developed correctly, ensuring airflow and thermal tolerances are met.
Mechanical Design Engineer job skills and experience required:
- Confident in 3D CAD design using Autodesk inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Previous experience in designing multi component electronic enclosures / electro-mechanical packaging.
- Experience with high precision mechanical design.
- Exposure to sheet metal and plastic materials.
- To have an understanding of airflow and thermal analysis.
- An understanding of DFM methodology would be beneficial but not essential.
