Published Description:

A leading technology-led organisation based in New Jersey, East Coast are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team.

You will be developing electro-mechanical products which are used in Electric Vehicle, Industrial, Healthcare and Technology applications.

The Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Enclosures will be responsible for creating 3D CAD designs for sheet metal enclosures, using SolidWorks, from concept through to manufacture. You will gain development opportunities with opportunities to learn about chassis design and wire harnessing, whilst working in a multi-disciplined mechanical / electronics engineering team. 

Skills, experience and Qualifications required:

• A background in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience with sheet metal enclosures (packaging / housing electronics). 
• Ability to design a product from concept through to prototype. 
• Exposure to design analysis / testing tools. 
• To have obtained a relevant mechanical / product focused degree would be beneficial but not essential.
