Metrologist – Coventry, UK
Are you an experienced Metrologist looking for a new opportunity? My client is seeking a skilled professional to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory in Coventry, where you will be responsible for the calibration and certification of Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Reference Masters in line with approved procedures.
As a Metrologist, you will ensure precision and accuracy in dimensional measurements, maintaining high standards of inspection and calibration. This role involves working both on-site and at customer locations, providing expert support and ensuring compliance with industry requirements.
Key Skills & Responsibilities for the Metrologist job:
- Perform calibration and certification of dimensional measuring equipment
- Maintain accurate records and administrative reports
- Apply inspection techniques to support customer applications
- Work independently, representing the company at customer sites
- Ensure compliance with approved laboratory procedures
Key Requirements for the Metrologist job:
- Mechanical engineering qualifications, apprenticeship, or relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of dimensional metrology and industry-specific terminology
- Experience in standards room or gauge inspection techniques
- Good communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn
