An opportunity has risen for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join a very ambitious company who are designing power electronics to stop the cycle of vehicle waste. As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will contribute towards a huge impact as you’ll be making a positive difference to the environment.

The senior Power Electronics Engineer role will consist of:

To help refine, define, and develop our high and low voltage hardware. Our electronics engineer is an experienced individual from the EV / PHEV industry with the ability to quickly shift from designing system architectures to careful selection of components. Key Responsibilities:

· Work with control systems lead to define common HV/LV design between classic and commercial vehicles

· Guide mechanical design engineers through the development of high voltage power electronics including battery design, component selection, mounting, and wiring routing and specification

 · Refine and help enforce various commissioning and test procedures regarding HV Battery, HV/LV Vehicle, subsystem, and end of line.

· Hands-on experience either in professional or personal environments (Personal projects, working with factory floor, etc)

· Experience working in small, collaborative environments

· Ability to create and maintain their own momentum in workplace

· Good attitude and optimistic towards future

· Strong work ethic (Essential)

· 5+ years in HV design

 

They have a very flexible working environment and can offer hybrid working. The main design centre is based near Northampton so you will need to be able to travel here frequently for meetings.

Relocation is a big decision but please don’t worry, we have done this multiple time’s now so let us take the stress away, so you can concentrate on what you do best. Designing High Voltage Power Electronics!
