About the Role:
Our client is growing their Electronics team and is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer to help define and develop their next generation of world-class audio products. This is a full-time position based in their office in Eaglesham, Scotland.
Key Responsibilities for the Power Supply Design Engineer job:
- Design, develop, and test power supply circuits and systems for high-performance audio products.
- Perform simulations and analyses to ensure power supply performance meets design specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power supplies into larger systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power supply performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for power supply designs, including schematics, layouts, and test plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power supply technology and incorporate relevant innovations into designs.
Skills and Experience for the Power Supply Design Engineer job:
- Degree educated in electronic engineering or equivalent discipline
- Experience in the design and development of power supply / SMPS / power electronics products.
- Experience of either SMPS or other variants of AC/DC, DC/DC converter design.
- Experience with PCB layout: High voltage and high current layout techniques and Design for EMC
