We’re working with an established UK engineering business based near Wakefield, known for delivering innovative power and lighting solutions across critical industries. They’re looking for a Principal Electronics Engineer to lead projects and guide a talented team.

Role responsibilities: 

• Leading the design of power systems, analogue circuits, and SMPS

• Supporting and mentoring engineers across complex technical challenges

• Overseeing embedded control and LED integration into products

• Driving EMC compliance, thermal management, and system-level performance
   

The ideal candidate: 

• Solid background in electronics design, especially analogue and SMPS

• Strong experience leading or mentoring engineering teams

• Proficiency with tools like SPICE, Altium, Matlab

• Familiarity with LED lighting, embedded systems, and safety standards
