New Principal Power Electronic Engineer position available to join a leading technology organisation based in Singapore.

The Principal Power Electronic Engineer is responsible for the power electronics / electrical design of a wide range of AC-DC switch-mode power supplies used within Industrial, Healthcare and Technology applications.

Key Responsibilities as a Principal Power Electronic Engineer

Power Supply Design

• Work in an R&D team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers and technicians on product design.
• Provide technical expertise in new AC-DC switch-mode power supply product design and modification of existing products.
• Responsible for the specification compliance of power supply designs
• Provide input to continuous improvement to the Production technique.
• Ensure consistency in design reviews, verification and qualification efforts
• Foster creativity and innovation in design solutions.

Requirements for the Principal Power Electronic Engineer position

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering/Power Electronics or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years’ power electronics experience in AC-DC switch-mode power supply design from conception to production
• Experience of wide range of power supply topologies, including LLC, Flyback, Buck, Boost
• Deep knowledge of EMC, thermals, magnetic design, power electronics, analogue and some digital design
