We are seeking a dedicated Product Support Engineer to join our client on the Isle of Wight. Responsibilities for the Product Support Engineer on the Isle of Wight:
- Act as a bridge between the Engineering and Production departments, offering technical support and facilitating solutions.
- Support the design team throughout the development process, including identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for production team queries, ensuring smooth operations.
- Collaborate within the engineering team to assist in the formal qualification of products, including preparing units, creating test plans, and overseeing testing procedures.
- Develop innovative test solutions for both development and production verification, owning the design of necessary jigs and fixtures.
Skills for the Product Support Engineer:
- Prior experience in formal product certification (e.g., CE marking) is preferred.
- Familiarity with supporting electronic products throughout their lifecycle is advantageous.
- Strong practical skills in fault finding and problem-solving.
- Background in electronics or electro-mechanics is beneficial.
- Interest in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the product design process.
